My sweat drips off of me,
like Winter's tears.
The heat is suffocating,
traveling down my neck and choking me.
A longing for something,
cold comes fierce and sharp as
I pant.
The bugs rain down on me,
biting at my skin.
And I sit there,
on the top step,
of our porch.
Watching,
as the shade is
scared away.
By the
uninvited heat.
like Winter's tears.
The heat is suffocating,
traveling down my neck and choking me.
A longing for something,
cold comes fierce and sharp as
I pant.
The bugs rain down on me,
biting at my skin.
And I sit there,
on the top step,
of our porch.
Watching,
as the shade is
scared away.
By the
uninvited heat.
