They say

Don’t judge a book by its cover but,

“ you look ridiculous”

They say don’t make assumptions but,

“That kid looks nice”

They say get to know someone but,

“This kid looks like a trouble maker”

They say learn each others story

“Whose parents would let them do that?”

I guess to them

We’re just a mess

Our generation is a disgrace

No modesty

Inappropriate

Why can't they see

That we are

Progressive

Diverse

Understanding

Talented

We say

And stay true to our word
