The Sweet Side Of Bitter

Oh don't you love it when you get mad,
But you suppress your anger,
Move along with your day,
But before long,
Your thoughts are saturated with unhappy thoughts,
As you simply covered the flame of your anger,
Not extinguishing it completely.
And as the day rolls along,
Your emotions simmer,
Rolling into one big ball of hate,
You're on edge,
Just waiting for someone to push you over.
Then you can scream.
Oh it feels so good to scream.
But its dying,
And you get scared,
You want to keep going,
So you hold on,
Keeping a firm grip on the incontainable moon beam that is your anger.
It's slipping through your fingers,
No matter how hard you try,
Only 1 in 10 times will you restart the fire.
So you feel yourself start to deflate,
But when you're done,
You grin an awful grin,
And think,
"Oh, I can't wait to do that again."
Its scary how addicted you are to that emotion high,
And try as people might,
They can't figure out why,
Why you act this way,
And now you can't get anyone to stay,
So you fight,
And it feels so good,
But your mind is fragile,
Your heart weak,
But you can't stop,
And now you want to,
But you don't know how,
Always looking to your left,
For your devil to guide you,
But along the way you lost yourself,
Now you don't know how to find you,
And everything's gone sour.
