Starry home

I turn my head to the sky,

While closing my eyes.

I drink in the moon’s soft glow

and let it dance across my face.

Thousands of stars watched me

With my feet rooted in place.

They stared as I opened my eyes

And gave them a soft blink that they gratefully returned,

Creating a shimmery facade of diamonds in front of my face.

I smile up at them,

because I know their secret.

Science can explain it,

But I can do it better.

Shining eyes watched curiously,

Wondering what I had to say.

But I didn’t tell them.

I am the stars

And the stars are me.

I will eventually return home to them

And they will greet me with open arms.

We will watch over the Earth together

As people pass by on the street.

I will watch as they stargaze

And grow

And prosper.

But for now,

I will unglue my feet from this sidewalk.

And I will drag them to my car,

Where I will be brought to the house,

with the secret knowledge that we are all stardust.

  • Delight and Pain

    Friends are delight.

Someone to confide in and feel safe with.

They will listen to all your worries

And love you though you are not perfect.

They will always help you see the light
  • My Best Friend

He was always my favorite, out of all of them - It was barely a competition. He knew it too. Ever since the day that I met him, the day that he was born, we could never be separated.
  • My sixth sense

I want to be able to do something that people can only dream of. Most people would choose something common as a sixth sense, like sensing imminent danger, or sensing others' feelings, but I would take a different route.
