Stand Still

Standing still thinking about what I lost

Fire drill and you’re in the parking lot

Season changed and everything grows

Do you remember my last name

I told you years ago

Day ends and we sit and watch the stars
Dream about me

And I forgot who you are

Are my words still on your wall

I’m sorry I forgot to call

Spring is here and the flowers bloom

The big tree still is looming over you

Your still glowing under the sun
The memories I have are worth more than I thought

I don’t wanna forget you I want to forget the time

I think I messed up long ago
Life’s too short to not go with the flow

Starry nights and cities in my head

Towns and places where I’ll never be again

My mind is flooded with memories of old

Mountains and ruins I left so long ago

Day begins and we sit and watch the sun

You and me just like how it begun

It’s the end I know for sure
But I still want some more
I wanna see your face again
Somewhere besides your instagram

Standing still under the city lights

The stage waits for me tonight
Like all those years ago

    I'm 14.
And I just saw Bruce Springsteen
    Live for the first time.

I've loved him and his music since I was 6.
I've listened to him religiously since I was 7.

018751 this was the lunch code I was given
My first day of third grade
My teacher wrote on my hand
With a green marker that smelled like berries

018751 this was the passcode for my first email
