S and E

They might ask,
"How many languages do you speak?"
And I'll say,

"One."

And then I'll add,
"I'm improving in another."

Yet there's also an S that I never knew existed
until late 2021.
An S that is nothing like my E,
even though I still write conclusions,
and even though I must still be concise;
the two are nothing alike.

I never thought that it would be hard to learn
that I am still learning this language.
No matter how much I wish to be fluent,
no matter how long I've been taking the class.
