From the moment I first saw you,
I knew I would love you.
You had a warm, comforting aura.
Your sweet vanilla scent perfectly matched your character.
From the moment I first saw you, sitting in the kitchen,
with all your clones,
I knew you were
different from the rest.
The others seemed tougher, crispier.
But you seemed gooey
and soft.
From the moment I first saw you,
I knew what to do.
I picked you up,
sniffed at your golden exterior,
freckled with chocolate,
and took a bite.
Chocolate chip cookies,
you are my first love.

So true.
This brought much needed humor to my afternoon. I was enjoying the thought of a person being described as "crispy" and "gooey" before I reached the end and realized you were speaking about a cookie, so I'd call that a befitting title!
Oh goodness, this was hilarious! I was thinking about a dog, liking the funny thought of an animal described as 'gooey' and was so surprised by the line 'and took a bite' that I laughed out loud. Awesome job on the poem!
