My Better Self

Help me be my better self
Do not bring me down.
lets not fight about all this
Falling to ground.
You can help me love myself
Why don't you hold your tongue
The easy path is quicker, sure
But take the better one.
No need to be my whole support
No need to bring me down,
Just treat me like a human being-
help a person out!
In the end what could have been
was foiled by you and me.
And all the arguing we've done
Could have ended differently.
Do not push on all my buttons
We're fighting aimlessly.
try and  be your better self,
And I'll be a better me.
