Mud season is the before and after
It's the beginning and the end
It's the war when seasons collide
Spring versus winter.
When the birds start to come back
The groundhog decides the weather
Bears come out of hibernation
And you can hear the peepers come out at night.
Mud season is the warm days
And cold nights.
Winter depression is done
The warm spring sun has come out
And everyone has summer fever.
Mud season is the due on the grass in the morning
The little puddles everywhere
And of course the mud.
