Misery

Someone slipped me misery,

Just last night, I know-  swear it,

The sweeter taste had tricked my tongue,

No poison could have dared it.

A friend or chance a foe to blame,

Though all the same to me,

A drop left in the wine I bore,

Then tainted harmony.

I might have known this little cup,

was filled up to the brim,

though my surmise,

was deed a price,

of one foul saintly sin.

I did quite then know pain the most,

And bled a hundred doubts,

Though it was them who packaged it,

It's me who wore the crown.

Someone came to punish me,

I didn't know their name,

But someone slipped me misery,

As I sipped it all the same.

Every story I've ever been told has held a spot in my life,

The goodest of hero's and foulest of foes did share with me the night.

  • Five of Me

I feel sometimes I'm split in two,

Of all the things I have to do,

I must answer call from call,

And write you when you feel small,

    And whispered to the moon,

About the days that haunted her,

And those that would come soon.

    She wanted to apologize,

    For wishing on the stars,
