Library

I open the library doors and I see little kids and their parents in line checking out books. I walk up the stairs to the teen romance section. I look around and see many lounge sofas and desks. Many people look like they’re working or finishing homework. I skim my hands over the bindings of the books, looking for the one that pulls me. I find many romances like To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series and They Both Die At The End. I make my way to the murder mystery section as nothing in ther omamce section interested me. I found the book One Of Us Is Lying. This one gives me a weird feeling (which I like, making me more interested). As I open it, I smell the amazing scent of a brand new book. It feels like knowledge is being poured into me. I feel the thin paper and I hear the crumple of the cover.I sit down on one of the lounge sofas, sinking right into the cushion. I’m sitting right in front of a massive window with a view of the streets of Hanover, New Hampshire. I feel the afternoon sun beaming onto my face as I read. I look up again; it seems that the sun is setting and the library is almost empty. I didn’t realize four hours had gone by. I check my watch wrapped tightly around my wrist. The time is 5:30 pm, and I completely forgot that the closing time is 6:00 pm. I gather my belongings and head to the first floor. I walk out of the library, losing the scent of books and it being replaced by the smell of fresh air. I see my mom parked a few feet away from me. I hop in her car and we turn on some Van Halen and drive away.
