A Kingdom of Darkness

As a storm rolls in,

something sinister begins-

to stir as the land cools,

preparing for the ruthless winter. 

Beings of the unknown come out to play,

as the wind pushes the leaves away. 

Night dawns upon the land quicker,

as bats roam the dark, moonless sky. 

A kingdom of darkness, it is. 

With a Queen and King of pale moonlight-

To guide the creatures of the night,

vampires roam the land when the sun slumbers.

Their Kingdom of Darkness will forever live on-

until the Sun and Moon make amends,

stopping their foolish eons long fight.
