Istaea

Somewhere buried in the past, before time existed in any way, shape or form, four gods and goddesses resided over the green lands and blue waters. They shifted and altered the earth, until they grew tired of their day-to-day infinite adventure of virtual nothingness. And so they brought forth the humans upon the land, who worshipped the gods wholly.

They called the land Istaea, and four lands, four clans, one may call them, resided within Istaea.

Kuana
The Island to the North
The people value love
They thrive in the summer
Worshipping the Goddess of Water, Adhara
Lead by the soul
"We are the free people, with bare feet amongst the waves."

Folvén
The Land to the East
The people value trust
They thrive in the spring
Worshipping the Goddess of Earth, Nasala
Led by the bones
"We hold the Earth, deeply woven in our bones."

Sateva
The Land to the West
The people value wisdom
They thrive in the autumn
Worshipping the God of Air, Groki
Led by the mind
"We trust that the Air shall never cease guide the way."

Hyjald
The Land to the North
The people value bravery
They thrive in the winter
Worshipping the God of Fire, Terden
Led by the heart

The four lands have co-existed peacefully for millenia. I ask you now, why should the darkness ever come?

in the months of darkness and cold, i never stopped writing.

i just kept it all to myself. every night, my own religion

pages of pen poised on paper, pouring my heart out

i don't want to love someone

    because i'm supposed to

you told me, one night in mid-july.

warm air and sun fading in the sky,

i want to fall in love with someone

i've heard this story a thousand times before.

i've seen it unfold. it started with a glance, became a smile,

became a longing. when i realized it was my turn,

i was too late. no one told me how hard it would be
