I don’t know about you, but it is quite alarming to me that a thief can steal an Amazon package right off my front porch and get away with it! In fact, ⅓ of all holiday shoppers experience this suburban scourge. This is very sad; they should be celebrating and not stressing about tracking the package. However, I have an ingenuous product to solve this problem. Presenting: the Tripboxx.
The Tripboxx is a cheap, almost foolproof solution to porch piracy, a common suburban problem. Porch piracy is when a package is stolen right off of someone’s porch. Other solutions either do not work well or are too expensive.
The Tripboxx’s design is simple by nature. It consists of two L-shaped durable metal platforms that are held in place by a plastic Track Guide. The Track Guide ensures that the package will only go down. On top of the L-platforms is a freely mobile metal centerpiece. Holding the platforms together are magnetic SimpliSafe™ door sensors. Suspension springs are situated underneath. In order to disguise this device, an artful, customizable welcome mat design is painted on top. There must be a shallow hole in the porch to hold the Tripboxx.
When a delivery person places a package on the Tripboxx, the platforms and the sensors are aligned. Later, when the thief tries to steal the package, the sensors shift away from the platforms, triggering the alarms. The police are notified immediately. The owner can turn the alarms off when they go pick up the parcel by pressing in a 4-digit code on the app.
Our Tripboxx is also quite cheap. We have priced it at a total of $36, unlike the Ring Doorbell, which costs from $99.99 to $229.99. While it also takes videos of the people at the door, it doesn’t deter thieves with an alarm. The Tripboxx actually has an alarm to scare thieves away, plus it instantly notifies police.
With the Tripboxx on the market, other “solutions” to porch piracy will become nonexistent! It is simple, useful, and cheap. Suburbia shouldn’t have to live without it any longer.
