If There Was No Homework

If I could pass any one law right now, I would pass a law to ban homework. Homework is a horrible way to learn. Studies show that it greatly degrades students' happiness and is universally voted the worst part of school. It is a way to teach students without any notable upsides. Absolutely nobody wants to do stuff at home that involves school; bringing school home is like bringing home to school, like bringing phones into the classroom and using them, and teachers puff smoke out of their ears when students do that, so why does homework exist? It is so easy to cheat on, that if students find it hard, it just becomes irrelevant, and many kids can’t ask anyone for help. Many teachers are impossible to talk to after school hours and if homework is due the day after it is assigned many students get marks down on their assignments. In conclusion, homework is a weak way to teach just about anything, with many other teaching methods being far superior in terms of student learning and happiness.
