Growing up

A little boy wakes up and he goes to his mom and says, "Why is my bed so small? I used to fit but now my feet stick off." The boy's mom says, "You're growing ..."

The boy goes to his room and gets dressed. He tries to put his favorite shirt on. But it doesn't fit. He goes to find his mom and says, "Why doesn't my shirt fit anymore?" His mom says, "You're growing ..."

The boy tries to put on his shoes, but they don't fit. So, he goes to his mom and says, "Why don't my shoes fit?" The boy's mom says, "You're growing..."

The boy goes to school. When he comes back home, he's crying.

His mom asks him what's wrong, and the boy says, "Why? Why do I have to keep growing?" Then he tells his mom what happened. "At school all the other kids were bullying me because I'm taller and bigger than them."

Then the boy's mom wiped his tears and told him, "It's not a bad thing to grow. When you grow up it will be hard, but you can do more and more things. Like going on bigger rides at the fair or having a later bedtime. I know it's hard at first, but it will get better, and all the other kids have to go through it too. You're not alone, I will always be here. Even I am still growing."

    Scars

    People judge them...

    You try to hide them...

    But...

They are just a reminder that you are strong...

You can do anything you put your mind to...

You might get hurt...but you will be okay...

    Hidden in the shadows

    Not sure where to go

I get lost at every turn I take

I look for the people I know but their faces are all blurry, I can't recognize anyone...
