The gods of old
The beings we worship
Seem to glow so much
So much so that we fell for the fox’s trap
We fell for that heavenly glow
So much so we couldn’t see the fangs it was showing us
Behind its mask of lies
We decided to believe that light instead of seeing its fur its teeth and its ears
Why are we so vulnerable to beauty
That we fall head first into a bear trap
Why can’t we see past the lies
