The sun has cast upon the hill
Along with summer’s past
All was quiet and all was still
As if this day would last
Time and time we waited here
Trying to see the signs
For us to leave without a tear
No shivers down our spines
But then today we came and saw
The light we’ve longed to see
The golden light in burnt brown straw
Which lifted towards the sea
As we soared into the sky
In the passing night
I’ve never even questioned why
We flew into the light
Along with summer’s past
All was quiet and all was still
As if this day would last
Time and time we waited here
Trying to see the signs
For us to leave without a tear
No shivers down our spines
But then today we came and saw
The light we’ve longed to see
The golden light in burnt brown straw
Which lifted towards the sea
As we soared into the sky
In the passing night
I’ve never even questioned why
We flew into the light
