Finding Fall in You

You stumbled into my life like fall,
the way the air sharpens,
the first breath caught in my lungs,
catching me off guard,
an ache I didn’t know I missed.

You’re the laughter that lingers
over steaming mugs of cider,
the sweetness of pumpkin,
the coziness of a shared blanket,
our souls intertwining,
the light in the dark that pulls me in,
conversations stretching late into the night,
every secret shared a flicker of flame
against the shadows that try to creep in.

We weave through the chaos together,
each moment like a leaf spiraling down,
something beautiful and fleeting,
running into the wind,
my heart racing as you breeze through me.

I can’t explain this need to hold on,
to capture the magic of us,
savoring every second
like the last bite of warm pie
on an evening where everything feels just right.

You stumbled into my life like fall,
a connection that feels like home,
the way you pull me into every moment,
your laughter, your warmth, the beautiful chaos.
I find myself wishing for more,
more of you, more of this,
more of the way you make everything feel alive,
like the season I want to live in, year after year.

You stumbled into my life like fall,
and I want to hold on tight,
to the feeling, the memories,
to you.
