Dost thou know me?
I rise every morning, graceful grandeur:
poor humankind gazes upon me, but none
could face my scorching sooth.
Under cloak and camouflage of distraught
twilight
fearless humankind retreats to deception and distortion, and seeks
its never ending jet-black desires.
And on the next morning I rise and weep and think–
“I am an unspoken curse.”
Dost thou know me?
A preacher of mine rises every morning, astute awareness:
imperfect humankind looks upon him, but none heed his
hard-won teachings.
Under the cover and concealment of one
strangely jet-black night
fearless humankind prays to its idols, none deadlier than
avarice and greed and ignorance.
And on the next day the preacher rises to grieve under the sun–
“I am an unspoken curse.”
Dost thou know me?
A scholar of mine seeks to enlighten, educational expertise:
fearless humankind points to him, only to
taunt and tease him for his
digression.
Under the strain and stress of lonely
pressure
the scholar laments his literacy; only out of his
mouth these words are heard–
“I am an unspoken curse.”
I am known as
Truth, the destroyer of
gods.
