Distance

I was so glad to hear your voice
The distance disappeared
Messaging is one thing
But your voice I’d rather hear.
I forgot your belly laugh
I forgot your eyes
I forgot the face you make
That grand look of surprise.
Its nice to see your hair again
Even through a screen,
The way you shriek at all my jokes
And say you have to pee.
We reminisce about the days
We smiled at those times
When we could hug in person
And go hang out for a while.
I’m not sad we’ve haven’t met
In person for awhile
I don't like being stuck inside-
But you make it all worth while

  • A Space Among The Stars

To live in a space among the stars
    I'd have to get binoculars
To see the dentist on the moon
And find the next Uber at noon.
To live in a space among the stars
I'd have to float to school in cars.
  • Frost

    Its fingers were hot
    and cold and
    sweet and dark.
    All at the same time.

    Sleeeeep.

    It whispered in her ear.
    Her petals shivered.
    Its breath ran slowly
    down
    her stem and
    tickled a leaf.
