Dear Leaflings

In the middleton year between summer and spring
and right before winter says hi
Autumn begins, with the leafs and the wind
And the colors are pretty and bright.
Pack all your bags
Says the Oak to the Birch
We are leafing, its time to say bye!
I will miss you!
says Maple all sappy and wet
Grab tissues
says Spruce with a sigh.
Wait for the wind,
says the Sweet Gum excited,
She'll blow all you leaflings around!
What fun!
cries the Beech tree, his colors are flashing
I live for this journey to run.
What if we drop?!
Cries the Hickory tree,
its foliage started to bawl
The other trees giggled
the leaves gently blew
Dear Hickory, that's why its Fall!

  • A Space Among The Stars

To live in a space among the stars
    I'd have to get binoculars
To see the dentist on the moon
And find the next Uber at noon.
To live in a space among the stars
I'd have to float to school in cars.
  • Frost

    Its fingers were hot
    and cold and
    sweet and dark.
    All at the same time.

    Sleeeeep.

    It whispered in her ear.
    Her petals shivered.
    Its breath ran slowly
    down
    her stem and
    tickled a leaf.
