By John 'Mac' Spencer
You said take what you can grasp but not what you need
for I will not let you reach even though you plead
But you don’t know the difference between what we want and who we must feed
You fail to realize there is desire but there is also the necessary
for without air I cannot breathe
Without a voice, I cannot speak
But you don’t want to hear from what you call the weak
There is an imbalance in our system
One you can’t see or hear even if you listen
For the imbalance is too great for us to comprehend
The human being has tricked itself
The only way is forward for this to end
We are afraid of what we don’t know
But that is no excuse in this modern day
For we understand what we are doing but do it anyway
