Crashing Down

I sit on my front lawn and watch as the sky starts to fall.

I knew it was going to happen.

We all did.

I sit on the lawn in silence.

The sky crashing down.

It shatters into a million pieces.

The clouds disappear.

The sun fades away.

The sky that I would watch the birds fly in...

The sky I would watch the sun rise and set...

The sky I would stare at for hours...

That same sky is crashes down on me.
