The Children Project Prologue

The child runs and runs through the suffocating night, looking for a place to hide, anywhere, just somewhere safe. There were two others with this child, but they were all taken. The child crouches in a small abandoned shack, shaking. His eyes are darting frantically, scanning the dark. He lets out a sigh of relief, finally seeming to have shaken off his pursuers. Although he does not know this yet, there are vicious creatures all gathering around in one clearing, listening to a masked man speak with captivated eyes. These creatures then set out on a prowl, searching for any clue of the small, young boy who had just escaped his prison clutches.
