Characters 1

The protagonist of my play is named Fernando. He is overinthusiastic, slightly dorky, and enjoys acting. He is not very experienced as an actor, and often gets mixed up; reading other people's lines, prouncing stage directions instead of doing them. When Fernando was very young, he enjoyed dressing up with his two sisters in costumes procured by his slightly exsentric grandmother. His grandmother is one of his mane influences and supporters, and always encouraged him to try out for school plays (not that he ever got in).

My antagonist, the director of the play, Fred (last name tbd), is in one word, snobby. raised in a family largely consisting of busy men (his mother died when he was a toddler), Fred has always been in the shadows of his brother. An off-broadway director, Fred is his own fan club, and has scraped his way through the ranks of the theater. All he wants is for his actors to respect his every word, and to get one review in the New York Times- is that too much to ask?
