Caitlyn,
The best friend I admire the most.
She can make anything appear on paper,
with just a pencil.
Her smile brings people from everywhere,
come together.
I remember when I first met her,
In the classroom with Ms. Antonoli,
We were some of the kids
who were too smart for regular 1st-grade reading.
It was so fun there,
but we only stayed acquaintances.
I was amazed how she and Molly
stayed best friends,
while in different classes.
She never was in my class
until 3rd grade,
and then she was the quiet girl who never really talked.
Then Violet, my best friend at the time,
invited her to lunch bunch with me.
I was confused,
but I still went.
After that, we were best friends,
making inside jokes,
like we knew each other our whole lives.
I remember the first time I saw some of her art,
I thought it was done by a professional. (I'm not kidding about that)
She always makes me smile,
and we loved doing stuff together.
E.T.M.,
Mewbucks,
and more.
I always hope she's on
google hangouts
when I am,
and most times she is.
When she first joined YWP,
Her first poem,
I thought was better
then all of mine combined.
Caitlyn,
My best friend I look up to the most,
thank you,
for everything.
Caitlyn

Bitter before sweet
You have to have the bitter,
before the sweet.
You have to have the rain,
before the rainbow.
You have to have winter,
before summer.
And without the bitter, the rain, the winter,
nothing would be as tasty, beautiful, warm.
