We are the generation

That is falling apart

Breaking down

Flowing towards 

A lake full of blood

Classmates feel the sting

Of a bullet pierced through a mind

Still learning how to be a grown up

We must change the future

That we never wanted

In which skin goes grey

Cold 

Life sucked out

Sunshine gone

From eyes that used to laugh 

As jokes told

Friends embraced

Smiles wiped away

By pain that comes fast

Graves lined with

Roses

Carnations

Sungolds

To bring the light

Friends gave

Before their fingers freeze

Done dancing across piano keys

In the auditorium

Face lifeless 

Gone 

Flowing down 

To a lake

Filled with blood.
