Apart

A hint of longing 
every time I say goodbye 
I want to talk a little longer
I want to crawl the screen to hug you
and tell you that everything's all right
but we'll have to be apart a little longer
it's been a while so we can wait a couple more months
We'll be okay we've been doing fine so far
just hold on and I'll come
and then my smile will not be so sad
but goodbye will still be hard
it always is
that I know full well
but I know we'll meet again after death
and then we'll never have to say goodbye
never again will I long to see your face
because you'll be there forever
