Afterwords


Yeah so... what will happen after quarantine...?

Will we frolic out on the streets
hugging people
and touching stuff like doorknobs?
or are we going to coward out
be scared seeing people out there
and whimpering the soft noises of
someone who just lived in their house for about
however many months this takes us
and had no connection whatsoever to the people they love?

Afterward we will cower and hide
or we will frolic and hug
either way, quarantine wouldn't be there
so isn't that all we need?

    opening to my story <3
