Dear Mr. President,

You certainly weren't the best.
Probably not even close.
But you did it.
That's what matters.
You got yourself elected to the highest office.
Congratulations.
You served your county to the best of your ability.
You were willing,
When others weren't.
You raised a son 
Who followed in your footsteps.
Tragedy muddled your life 
But you stayed strong.
History will remember you.
Maybe not as much as Lincoln or Washington,
But still
You showed up.

I hope this was enough for you.
I hope that you are happy about your life.
I am glad that you are finally at peace.
Or at least I hope you are.
