My Light shines every morning all year round
My Light lets kids play on the playground
Although it's gone at night it is always there
The sun hangs high, a golden blaze,
Filling the sky with unblinking gaze.
It watches over the land, fierce and bold,
Turning the ground to burnished gold.
The golden, bright, vibrant sun,
shines throughout the day.
It shines brightly on the first day of school.
He gathers strength in the morning
For his wild parade by day
The masses sing in warning
So the Cold Things may hide away
You hide from my,
Lowest moments.
Running to make it on time to my highest.
you watch me as I smile,
and fall as it gets closer for sleep.
your solar opposite
Heat
Coming down from above
The sun stands still
A yellow trail blaze in the sky
Leading me forward
Into its light
Its rays land, dead grass, yellowing brown leaves
Dark hair on a head
Waking up to you
grinning down at me
your long, golden hair falling off your shoulders,
I close my eyes
block out your face with my hand
