My day is done, so I sit here,
Under the stars, twinkling gleefully down at me
Still, the hot summer day lingers like a sticky residue on my skin
Lilypads drifting like humans in this bluish-green marble of a world
Inner workings concealed but known, yet we know absolutely nothing
In all your sadness and glory
Let me be there
Own the fact I will be here forever
Very much attached to your side
Even when you wish me gone
Your light will always guide my ship
Do you know what it feels like to just float around, not living life?
Especially when a million people just push you down.
Pressure builds, and you just want to scream in agony.
Repressed emotions fight to the surface.
