Wake up to snow
on this beautiful Vermont land
The wind will blow 
trust me I know
In the air is a story
A memory
of winters 
past much like the last
But safe inside is where I stay

I have not seen you sense the other side of summer

So long ago that it seems silly

Our biggest worries what we do at recess 

Now looking out my window

Weather as cold as the future

It is fall 

Winter days
That's what I heard
Snow as soft as the feathers on a bird
Snow days in early November
Remember 
The 
Warm
Days of summer a distant memorie
As all the sensations of winter cast a 
Spell on me

You start talking
I cannot
I do not talk to people any more
I do not know how
I think of something to say
But I  can't work up the courage 
Silent I stay
Will I be quiet forever?
 

The message I spread
An ode to the dead

People who care
People who don’t
Those who help
Or them who gloat 

Some may give
Most will take
As long as it helps their sake
Let's take a stand
