Death was my friend,
Or so I would say,
He left me untouched,
While the past died away.
He told me to hide,

I wish that I would sit at home,
A lovely book in hand,
And look upon the struggling,
I had once been so damned.

On a walk atop the surface,
I learned but many things,
For all the years below me,
Had beckoned me to sing,

Butterfly
How can I process these emotions,
When the world seems but amiss,
And it happened as your lips touched mine,
And we formed them in a kiss.
I thought butterflies would sparkle,
Against the summer night,

Coffee
I take my coffee sweet,
It's less bitter on my taste,
It takes a little honey,
And a dash of milk to make.

If I Kissed This World Goodbye
If I love you were the last words that would roll upon my lips,
Would they find themselves an alter,
As you kissed my fingertips?
