THE STRENGTH TO CRY
Who are you to tell me
That crying makes me look weak?
That's a lie.
Who are you to judge my emotions?
You have them too.
You're not Superman, after all.
Or maybe you don't feel
Like I do,
Like everyone does, -
WE WON ANYWAY
Sure, we're not the best team.
In fact, this was our first win this season
But we won anyway.
That was us
WE scored those points
WE made those awesome plays
WE worked our butts off. -
AFTER THE PARTY
After the party
I walk slowly around
And pick up the objects
We tossed on the ground.
I dance to the music
That someone left on
But it's not as much fun
Now that everyone's gone. -

Is a legend
A mystical work of art
The lonely, lovely lady
With the long, long hair
And that is all
Rapunzel is nothing
Without her hair.

WHEN I SING
When I sing
nothing seems important any more
no problem is too trying
no challenge too great
when I sing
I can do anything.
When I sing
I instantly start to smile
I cannot help but find joy -
ONE MORE DAY
One more day and I'll be free for two whole weeks
gone for Christmas break
One more day of dragging myself out of bed
way, WAY too early
One more day of barely eating breakfast
