Open your eyes to the world beyond our screens,
to the non pixilated faces who you have been surrounded by for years.
Watch the way their skin crinkles, with depth and life.

A single firecracker lights up the night,
followed by hundreds more.
Fireworks paint the sky with their glitering glow,
as the Moon watches approvingly.
My sister says they look like millions of fireflies,
lighting up the night.
