I remember
Sitting on the couch
Tears on my face
Thinking
I don’t ever want to grow up
Now I am here
Crying
Looking at my eighth grade student council poster
Thinking
I don’t ever want to grow up
I remember
Sitting on the couch
Tears on my face
Thinking
I don’t ever want to grow up
Now I am here
Crying
Looking at my eighth grade student council poster
Thinking
I don’t ever want to grow up
A hundred words is a lot
A hundred degrees is very hot
When you rob hundred dollars from a bank, you get caught
When you go a hundred miles into space you have become an astronaut
The blank walls shine like the ones at a pearly bank
The floors on wood where so much has withstood
I down the halls I take a chance and glance
Even though we couldn’t stand it any longer, it has made me stronger
